The Brief
Balloon Universe is a balloon store working on a hybrid model. They approached us with a problem to increase their reach online working in a hybrid model with their offline stores as well. They had no platform previously and trusted Datapulse Technologies to be of service to this mission of theirs. The brand struggled with the absence of an online identity, branding & outreach to a wider audience which resulted in their business not performing at the peak of its potential.

Research & Discovery
We conducted extensive user research & competitor study including 5+ businesses of similar niche with stakeholders, normal clients, and e-commerce stores across different specialties. We shadowed the competitor businesses during their daily workflows to understand pain points in real contexts.
Our competitive analysis revealed that while other balloon selling platforms had modern interfaces, none had truly solved the complexity problem in user workflows. This presented an opportunity to differentiate through superior UX, brand identity & online presence.

Design Process
Ideation & Wireframing
We started with rapid sketching sessions, exploring dozens of different approaches to streamline the most common workflows. Low-fidelity wireframes allowed us to quickly test concepts with users before investing in high-fidelity designs.

We built a comprehensive design system from the ground up, including 100+ reusable components, color palette optimized for medical displays, typography scale for hierarchy, and iconography designed for quick recognition under pressure.
